How should I pack for the weather in Ireland in November?
The average temperature in Ireland in November is between 40-50F (4-10C). The weather can be mild, but unpredictable. And with any time of year, pack for some rainy days. Definitely pack layers, including a warm sweater and a rain coat.
All events will be indoors, but don’t forget a shawl or coat on the wedding day!
-
Are children invited?
We love your children and welcome them to be a part of our special day. Due to space restrictions, we are only able to accommodate children under 12 unless specified on your invitation.
A children’s menu will be provided during the reception. Please let us know if there are any dietary restrictions when you RSVP.
Cribs and in-room babysitting services are available upon request when booking through Mount Juliet Estate.
-
Will there be meal options for guests with dietary restrictions or allergies?
Please notify us of your dietary restriction when you RSVP. If there are multiple allergies/restrictions in your party, please indicate how many people need accommodations so that we can arrange for the appropriate meals to be prepared in advance.

Could you suggest places to visit in our free time?

-
Is there parking available?
Yes.
Hotel: Mount Juliet Estate cannot guarantee parking, but there is a large lot for guests and visitors in front of Hunter’s Yard Hotel, and a smaller lot in front of the Manor House. Parking is free.
Church: There is also plenty of parking both in front the Church of the Assumption, and a lot around the side of the church.
Welcome Drinks: The closest parking to O’Hara’s Pub is street parking on Market Street or in the public lot at the end of Market Street if you take a left, it is on the right.
-
Will I need cash?
While Ireland accepts most major credit cards, we recommend that you have some Euro on hand just in case (i.e. tolls from the airport, smaller shops, the impromptu Guinness).
On the wedding day, a selection of beverages will be provided during the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. However, you will need cash during the extended bar hours later in the night. ATMs are available at the hotel
Tip: AAA members can exchange dollars into Euro for no extra fee up to $3,000 at a time. We recommend planning for this in advance as the service is not always available on demand.
-
What side of the road do they drive on in Ireland?
In Ireland, cars drive on the left side of the road, with the driver’s seat on the right side of the car.
The motorways are fairly easy to navigate, but prepare for narrow and windy roads once you exit.
Tip: If you are renting a car, make sure that the car is automatic. Automatic cars have become more popular in the last few years, but most rental companies will default to manual cars, and these are often the cars that are priced the lowest on rental websites.
-
Is there a wedding block?
Yes. All guests can get a 10% discount on rooms at Mount Juliet Estate using the code: W14. Room prices are expected to increase as they are booked. We recommend booking your rooms as soon as possible to avoid price surges.
-
What time is check in? What time is check out?
Check in at Mount Juliet Estate is 4pm. Check out is 12pm. The hotel will try to accommodate early check in and late check out requests, though they cannot be guaranteed.
